All purpose cleaner

Greenwashing is a huge problem when it comes to cleaning products! Either the ingredients are the same as conventional and they add some essential oils and call it “green” or the product itself doesn’t bio degrade harming marine life!!!

Plus, it’s expensive! You can make inexpensive cleaners with things you probably already have in your kitchen. Really, for a few cents.

I suggest storing products with essential oils in glass- sometimes the essential oils warp the plastic and well, I avoid plastic in general. I use a clear glass spray bottle. i use a sharpie to label the bottle. I also write my recipe on the back of the bottle so it’s right there when I need to make more.

Shake well before use.

All Purpose Cleaner

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 tablespoons washing soda
  • 10 drops tea tree oil
  • 10 drops or so of another essential oil*

*one batch lasts me about 3 months if I use it all over the house 1-2 times a week. I like to change the scent with the season. For this last batch (spring) I used mint. If you like to change your scents more often try cutting the recipe in half or by one third. Or clean…a lot, like everyday.
